Happy Father's Day to all of the amazing men who parent a special needs child! I for one am married to one of the the most compassionate father's that I have ever met. It's such a blessing and I feel extremely grateful. 

What makes men who are caring for a special needs child exceptional? For one thing this road is a road less traveled, therefore any father who stays in this unique family environment is a hero.  

Whenever I take time to notice, my husband is adding creative ways to overcome the obstacles that my exceptional children face in their daily lives. For example, going the extra mile to give them opportunities to get out into the community, and going on weekend adventures are just some of the ways that make him a great dad for them. Even when it's challenging, he makes life better for them.

What ways can you think of to show appreciation for an exceptional father today? Maybe just a thank you, or an special acknowledgment.
